SUMMARY:Tuesday Talks - Steve Sorenson
DESCRIPTION:Steve Sorensen will speak on the history of the eastern coyote in Pennsylvania with a program titled “Pennsylvania — Home to Coyotes for More Than 80 Years.” \nIn his presentation\, Sorensen will detail the earliest known incidents of the eastern coyote in the Keystone State\, document the spread of this unique species across the commonwealth using photographs and historical records\, and dispel the rumors and myths that remain popular. He will answer questions including: How did it get here? Why is it so prolific? What is its future? \nToday\, the eastern coyote can be found everywhere from the deepest north woods to our biggest cities\, and has become a popular pursuit for hunters and trappers. If you’re a coyote hunter\, or a wildlife enthusiast interested in this major predator\, you won’t want to miss this event. \nSorensen is a two-time winner of the national “Pinnacle Award” for outdoor journalism from the Professional Outdoor Media Association\, and has won almost two dozen other awards from state and regional outdoor writer organizations. For more information about Steve\, his writing and his speaking\, go to www.EverydayHunter.com. \nEach Tuesday we have a speaker come at 7:00-7:30 and present an informal talk. About something that is of interest to Forest County. Speakers may be inside around our dinning room table or outside on our spacious porch. Speakers will talk and we will have a chance to ask questions or talk to them until 8:00 at which time the museum closes.
