Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve and interpret the history of Forest County for future generations.  We do this by collecting and caring for artifacts and documents, exhibiting the collection at our History Center, and offering informative events for all ages.

History Center

The Forest County History Center is an 1872 Victorian home filled with artifacts and records relating to Forest County’s history – fascinating to both children and adults.  We encourage you to visit for a fun and educational look into the past!

What We Do

The History Center is open for tours Memorial Day through Labor Day and offers genealogy and historical research services/assistance.  We also hold weekly “Wisdom Wednesday” events, tea parties in the spring, and other events and fundraisers throughout the year.
