Georgene Searfoss, author of Longings of the Heart. A remarkably interesting story about Elsie Machle who spent the summers of 1911 and 1912 at the home of the McKean’s in Endeavor. Elsie had experiences with the Wheelers, members of the Penn State Forestry Class and the Presbyterian Church. Georgene will have the books there to sell and will be glad to sign them for you. She will also be reading the unpublished letters about Endeavor. Her talk will be “Now you know the rest of the story”.
Each Tuesday we have a speaker come at 7:00-7:30 and present an informal talk. About something that is of interest to Forest County. Speakers may be inside around our dinning room table or outside on our spacious porch. Speakers will talk and we will have a chance to ask questions or talk to them until 8:00 at which time the museum closes. Admission is always free for members and $5.00 for guests which can include a tour of the museum and time on the grounds if you come before 7:00.
